About Us

Following years of working in chaotic therapy practices that emphasized quantity of visits over quality of therapy, Betsy Porter (OTR/L)  recognized the need for a re-imagined setting. She opened Thrivacious Kids with the belief that we can better support the achievement of a child’s independence and development in a calm, family friendly environment.

Thrivacious Kids utilizes a team approach by emphasizing effective communication with parents and individualized treatment strategies for each unique child, resulting in better carryover of new skills to the home.

Betsy has a special passion for infants and children with neurological issues. Betsy deeply values her relationships with the children and families she works with and is honored to be included in the experience of watching them grow and develop into more independent young people.

Betsy is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist that has 25 years of experience working with children with a wide variety of diagnoses. Her background includes Early Intervention, Pediatric Outpatient, School System, Acute care, and Rehabilitation.
